First Canadian Science on Stage Festival, Aug 9-14th

2009-06-04

Science on Stage Canada (SoSC), Canada's Science Teachers' Festival, sponsored by the Council of Science Educators of Canada, is being held in at the Canadian Light Source, Saskatoon August 9-14, 2009

This festival is a nationwide collaboration of science educators dedicated to the development and invigoration of science teaching across the country.

The festival is threefold:
• a showcase of innovative teaching practises (imagine a ‘science fair’ atmosphere);
• professional development in synchrotron research resulting in the opportunity for your students to conduct experiments using this facility;
• the opportunity for networking and discussion of pedagogical issues.

The Canadian Light Source synchrotron is proud to host the first SoSC in beautiful Saskatoon, SK August 9th – 14th. Thanks to our sponsors, there is funding available to offset travel costs.
